The Old Mortuary can be hired as a whole on some weekends for unique events and functions such as weddings.
Prices:
- Day rate for community private hire and charities: £450
- Day rate for commercial and public sector: £550
- Weddings (full 2 day weekend rate): £1,300 including cleaning and 2 planning visits.
There is a fee of £50 for out of hours (evening and weekend) opening and closing for one-off bookings.
A heritage venue and working community centre based in leafy Rotherhithe Village, a few minutes from Central London, it has a picturesque view of historic St Mary's Churchyard gardens, and St Mary's Church.
Hire of the whole building gives access to our three main spaces (the Russell Hall, Varney Room, and Chapel), and access to the beautiful terrace under the wisteria, as well as the edible garden.
Maximum capacity: 120 people
Please note: The terms of our lease stipulates that the premises must be fully vacated by 10pm. Additionally, for health and safety reasons, we cannot allow bouncy castles on site.
